GREEN SUPPORT FOR VOLTA FLOOD VICTIMS

The spillage of the Akosombo Dam by the Volta River Authority (VRA) has displayed over 26,000 Ghanaians. These victims whom until the spillage lived a dignified life in their own apartments, eat and drink at their pleasure now have to survive under the benevolence of others.

Apart from the air they breathe, they have nothing else left of them. No home, no water, no food, no dress, no school, no clinic/hospital and just nothing.

A visit to some of the camps by the Green Alliance Network team was so pathetic and sad. Women and Children are crying for survival. Pregnant women and Nursing mothers are crying for survival. The sick, aged and the bed-ridden are all crying and calling for support.

Kindly join forces with us and let us together support these flood victims crying for survival. No amount is too small. A bottle of water under the circumstance is good enough to save a soul.

Kindly follow the link below to donate your widow’s might. Distribution of relief items are done in the full glare of the media for the purposes of accountability and transparency.

We need items such as rice, oil, water, canned food and drinks, used clothes, story books and exercise books for the students, sanitary pads, toilet rolls, mosquito nets and coils etc.

Last time, it was our brothers and sisters in the Northern Region when Bagre Dam was spilled. Then came the people of Weija when the Weija Dam was spilled. It is now the people of the Volta and parts of the Greater and Eastern Regions. You may not know who is next.

Let us donate now to support our brothers, sisters and children.

Our officers are on a standby to pick up physical products anytime, anywhere.

INTRODUCTION OF NATIONAL GREEN AWARDS (NATGA)

The Green Alliance Network LBG has instituted an Annual Environmental Annual Awards Scheme tailored to recognize and to reward Environmental Stewards in Ghana. This award scheme is dubbed National Green Awards (NATGA) and it shall be held every year beginning 2025-The Maiden Edition.

As an organization committed Climate Action, we have observed that there are many Politicians, CSOs, Traditional Authorities, Journalists, etc who contribute so much in keeping the sanctity of Ghana’s Environment and these genuine patriots of our land are worthy of National Recognitions and Awards. However, there has not been any comprehensive, sustainable and scalable award scheme for this outstanding achievers over the years. In view of that, we have resolved to fill this grieve environmental gap so as to recognize, celebrate, reward and to inspire this genuine environmental stewards in the country.
Sincerely Yours,
